London Tech Week is a festival of over 300 events running from the 12th to the 16th of June. With an estimated 40,000 attendees from over 70 countries, it's a major landmark on the UK's R&D terrain. The events taking place range from the 2-day LeadersIn Tech Summit organised by Knect365 to the one-of-a-kind Allianz World Championship DRL drone race.
RIFT will be there, naturally, spreading the word about R&D Tax Credits and showing how to make the most of them. This year, you'll be able to find us at a couple of sessions and events.
With £1.75 billion claimed over the last year, but 90% of eligible companies still missing out, there's never been a better or more critical time to file an R&D Tax Credits claim.
On Thursday the 13th, we'll be sponsoring and running a bespoke workshop at the Business Funding Show. For our topic, we'll be focusing on:
• R&D tax relief – what you can claim for and how much it's worth. • Grants – what's available, how to win it and where State Aid fits in. • Building successful strategies and funding portfolios. • IP protection – why it matters and how to do it right.
On Friday the 14th, RIFT will be sharing the spotlight with A City Law Firm at a workshop on Investments and Funding. Our very own Sarah and John will be joining Jaqueline Watts to present an interactive seminar on the kinds of reliefs available to technology companies. Our main points will cover:
share option schemes and debt financing options
tax structures and investment.
As always, we'll be shining our light on tax credits and grants, too. Whatever questions you've got on the hows and whys of R&D, we'll be on-hand to provide the answers you need.
R&D Tax Credits are an enormous boost to small businesses throughout the UK. An average claim for SMEs stacks up at around an impressive £50,000 . It's the largest, most valuable incentive and reward system of its kind. Even so, the government still needs help promoting its benefits. So many firms – even the ones who are already aware of the scheme – simply never realise that what they're doing qualifies for tax relief.
That's what RIFT is all about, and it's why we're setting out to making our voice heard loud and clear during this year's London Tech Week. R&D Tax Relief is the key to making innovation pay, and RIFT is more determined than ever to make sure you get all the credit you deserve.
