2018 is a big year for the prestigious KEiBA scheme, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the awards event. We're big fans of the KEiBAs at RIFT, as both award winners and category judges in previous years. The reason why we're so enthusiastic about them is easy to see. They raise the profile of innovative businesses, which is the key message RIFT R&D has been crying from the rooftops since we started out.
At the launch of this year's event at Kent's Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, that message went out more strongly than ever to its 150 guests. Winners from previous years talked about the benefits of KEiBA in terms of raising their profiles and boosting morale. The awards recognise performance, ambition and innovation. Moreover, the breadth of its categories proves that it really does matter how you play the game. Even applying for the scheme is a statement in itself. You're planting a flag for your business and showing a commitment to accomplishment. The KEiBAs are the UK's largest celebration of those qualities, and getting involved means gaining access to invaluable expert assessment from acknowledged authorities. Media interest in the awards is always strong as well, offering priceless opportunities to get people as excited about your business as you are yourself.
This year's 10th anniversary event builds to a Kent Event Centre gala night in Detling, with over 600 people attending. This year, awards will be presented in 16 separate categories celebrating everything from Commitment to the Environment to Technology Business of the Year. There's even a brand new category for Family Business of the Year, and with so many family-run SMEs in Kent, competition is sure to be strong and passionate. The KEiBAs are jointly hosted by KM Media Group and Kent County Council, and really serve to showcase the very best the county has to offer in vibrant, energetic businesses dedicated to achieving success the right way.
If you've never considered entering an award scheme before, there's no better way to let your hard work and ambition shine on a grand stage. In addition, working toward a KEiBA is a great motivator within a business, getting everyone pulling in the same direction. RIFT's time as winner, sponsor and judge of the event has taught us the value of schemes like this, and it's a value we're excited to share with the best, brightest and most innovative businesses in Kent again in 2018. The entry deadline is the 23rd of February. See keiba.co.uk for more information.
