If you know RIFT, then you know we love the Kent Excellence in Business Awards. As the event rolls into its 11th year in 2019, the celebrations kicked off in grand style with a launch party at the breathtaking Allington Castle on the 10th of January. The celebrations were captured by KMTV for its flagship news programme, “Kent Tonight”, so click here  for a taster. You can also take a look at last year’s opening ceremony here.

Once again, we’ll be flying the RIFT flag at this year’s KEiBA event. Over time, we’ve progressed from award winner to sponsor and judge, and we’re a living, thriving testimony to the impact that a scheme like this can offer. KEiBA are very keen to give innovative, energetic Kent businesses a real opportunity to shine, showing pride in the challenges they’ve overcome and the heights they’ve reached. It’s about planting a flag for your business and getting the recognition you deserve. On top of that, it’s also an amazing chance to meet and be inspired by the most vibrant forces and voices across the Kent business landscape.

There are many award categories to shoot for, but the KEiBAs essentially set out to recognise and reward excellence in 4 main areas:

  • General Business: awards for powerhouses of all sizes. If you punch above your weight, KEiBA wants to hear from you.
  • Sector Specific: looking at the impact you’re making in areas of particular importance to Kent’s economy.
  • Business Operations: recognising your success in specific areas of business management or operations.
  • People:  businesses are built through hard work and ingenuity. This category is about individual contributions to overall success.

These aren’t just empty accolades, either. Winning a KEiBA can have real, measurable effects on your business performance and the motivation of your staff. Just a quick look through the KEiBA case studies page should be enough to demonstrate the benefits of going toe-to-toe with the brightest lights in Kent business. You also stand to attract invaluable media coverage, learn from acknowledged experts, demonstrate the value you place on your employees and customers and network with other business leaders.

After a very successful inaugural year, RIFT MD Bradley Post will again be judging the Medium Business of the Year award category. As he puts it:

“The passion, innovation and hard work of Kent businesses are a constant source of inspiration. Now in its second year, this award is an important celebration of the extremely diverse businesses to be found throughout Kent. I look forward to seeing the entries this year and the opportunity to showcase the inspirational work happening in our medium-sized enterprises here in the county. As a long-standing admirer and former KEiBA winner, we are very proud to be a sponsor again in 2019.”

So what are you waiting for? The deadline for entrants is Friday the 22nd of February, and it costs nothing to apply. We can’t wait to see what you’re bringing to the KEiBA table this year.
