Jan established the Rift Group in 1999. RIFT works with individuals and businesses, providing services that deliver business tax relief and personal tax benefits. She holds a number of other directorships and is very active in the charity sector.
Jan has built up close relationships with the construction Industry, and RIFT Group has served the construction's tax needs for over 18 years. She has been listed as one of the 40 most influential business leaders in Kent and has won numerous awards, including Woman of the Year in Construction and Business Woman of the Year.
Bradley Post, Managing Director
Bradley started his career at Accenture as a Management Consultant, a position he held for 10 years. He has been with the RIFT Group since 2010, progressing through a variety of roles, from Sales and Marketing Director to Commercial Director. He took over as the company's Managing Director in 2016.
Bradley has worked extensively with a variety of Blue Chip organisations on major business and system transformation projects. These have ranged from CRM Implementations and Business Analysis through to Project & Programme Delivery Management and Test Management
John McKeown, Non-Executive Director
John was involved in the “dot com” boom of the 2000's, with a successful project to his name. He has worked with RIFT for over 5 years and is a Non-Executive Director for the company.
John has a background in finance, an industry in which he has worked since 1982. He was a qualified IFA for over 20 years, working with SMEs in all areas of taxation and investment and looking after shareholder interests.
John’s current expertise lies within identifying R&D tax credits, working with Patent Box and locating grant and funding opportunities.
Sarah Collins, Head of Research and Development
Sarah joined Rift Research and Development in 2015 as a Senior Consultant specialising in the construction sector, becoming Head of Department in 2016.
Sarah is a registered PRINCE2 practitioner and a qualified a teacher. Sarah was a lecturer at Buckinghamshire New University and spent over 5 years teaching BSc Sociology.
Seven years’ experience within the public sector, focused on service improvement and project management, has given Sarah an in-depth understanding of the complex processes and procedures within construction industry. Working closely with the construction industry has given Sarah an appreciation for the often unrecognised innovation that takes place at all levels. This enables her to readily identify potential tax credit opportunities for clients. Combining her knowledge of government, HMRC and industry Sarah is able to fluently translate the implications of that practical on-site work into a successful claim with HMRC.
Sarah is a technical expert in R&D and specialises in construction. She has worked on European Funded Projects, assisting SMEs in accessing fore-sighting and innovation information, specifically relating to emerging technology growth areas.
Siobhan Zipfel, Operations Manager
In the time that Siobhan has been at RIFT, she has advanced from the position of Coordinator to that of Operations Manager concentrating predominantly on performance management and the financial aspects of the R&D claim process.
Siobhan has 8 years’ experience within the public sector, where she not only worked for the Police but also the Home Office. During this time she developed an exceptional understanding of process and investigation and as a result has a keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify and extrapolate data from large data sources for the purposes of analysis. She has a wealth of experience in statistical analysis and investigative research, with expertise in software, database operations and customer relations.
Siobhan is a specialist in the financial elements of the R&D reporting, assisting with the collation of the required data and information and ensuring compliance and scrutinising claims for accuracy.
Oliver Batt, Innovation Consultant
Oliver is Senior Innovation Consultant at RIFT. His expertise in taxation, finance and HMRC regulation allow him to maximise the claims of his clients.
Oliver has over 6 years’ experience working in the financial industry, in a variety of roles. He has in depth knowledge and understanding of HMRC and the processes and procedures associated with tax claims. His background in communications is used to great effect when working on the technical narrative aspects of the claims for R&D. Oliver’s skills enable him to present clients’ developments in the required language and layout against government guidelines to ensure successful claims and to decode the rules and regulations for practical business application to maximise tax credits and support the cost of on-going innovation.

Emily Wibrew, Innovation Consultant
Emily is a specialist in sports, health and well-being. An experienced process manager she is able to apply this knowledge and awareness to the rigors of the R&D claim process.
Emily has 8 years’ experience in customer relations, working predominantly in client facing roles. She also has extensive experience in data operations and client management with a focus on performance measurement and continuous improvement. Emily is able to bring her process driven approach both to the management of client claims themselves, and in uncovering cases of innovation and optimisation within customers’ internal processes, a valuable area which is often overlooked.
Whether working directly with clients, or with their accountants, Emily’s insight into how process impacts profitability is key in discovering the impact of innovation on an organisation and the wider industry.
Her background in sports, health and travel is vital to her understanding of R&D related activity in these areas ensuring that she is able to bring her knowledge to the fore when assessing the eligibility of claims in this sector.
